The Cafetto Espresso Clean back flush powder is a premium espresso machine cleaner designed for commercial and semi-commercial espresso machines. Proudly made in Australia, this cleaner has been tested and certified by NSF to protocol P152, ensuring that it will not taint the coffee and is safe for use on espresso machines without causing corrosion. Follow the directions provided to ensure proper utilization of the product.
- Take out the coffee filter from the group handle and replace it with a blind filter.
- If you clean your machine weekly, put 1 level scoop of Espresso Clean® into the group handle as if you were brewing espresso.
- Start the cleaning cycle and let it run for 10 seconds to dissolve the cleaner.
- Pause the cycle and let it sit for 10 seconds.
- Repeat the cycle 4 more times – run for 10 seconds, pause for 10 seconds.
- Remove the group handle and thoroughly rinse it under a stream of water from the delivery group. Turn off the machine.
- Insert the group handle with the blind filter again, and run the cycle 10 times – run for 5 seconds, pause for 2 seconds to ensure thorough rinsing.
- Take out the blind filter and insert the regular filter.
- Brew and discard a single shot of espresso to re-season the machine.
PROCEDURE TO CLEAN FILTERS AND GROUP HANDLES
- Fill a container with 500mL of hot water.
- Add 2 level scoops of Cafetto Espresso Clean® Espresso Machine Cleaner into the hot water.
- Submerge the group handles and filters into the solution and let them soak for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, remove the group handles and filters from the solution.
- Rinse them thoroughly under running hot water to remove any remaining cleaner residue.
